How I obtained this career
While I was going to university in Taiwan, I became interested in Japanese and began studying at a language school. After I graduated, I wanted to speak Japanese more fluently, so I decided to come to Japan as an international student. I thought that the Kansai region was the best place to learn about Japanese culture and traditions. I enrolled in OCA and set my sights on becoming a designer.
I started looking for a job as soon as I became a 3rd year student. I mainly used the school's career center for my job search. The staff at the career center introduced me to many companies. Also, I took part in a job fair where representatives from over 100 companies visit the school in person each year. I had an internship at a company introduced to me by the school. My relationship with my current company began at a review session of student works held at OCA. The organization I first interviewed with introduced me to my current company and I received a offer of employment.
Doing an internship while I was still a student and gaining on-site experience was very beneficial. Much of my work at my current company is creating pamphlets. I'm making good use of the specialized knowledge and skills I gained creating posters and other works at OCA.
